Homemade Rosemary & Mint Toner

Use this facial toner every morning for clean, tight skin.

Toner is one of those wonderful little things that just helps you to feel and look a little bit more refreshed. I personally did not even discover toners until a little while ago. My skin started to get super dry and this is one of the only things that seems to help before the rest of my routine.

This toner is made with just two ingredients that you can find in your garden, and it is so wonderful.

Hint: You may also add an essential oil of your choice. I like to add frankincense oil.

Every day we expose ourselves to dirt and toxins in the air that enter into our skin. This causes our skin to become more oily and irritated which can lead to skin irritation and acne.

Facial toners help to remove oil in the skin by tightening the pores and cleaning. This allows fewer toxins to enter into the skin leaving you with a more clean and fresh appearance.

It also makes your skin feel more clean and soft.

Rosemary is a member of the mint family and has many aromatic, culinary and medicinal uses.

Rosemary has natural antiseptic properties which makes it a strong disinfectant for our skin. The nutrients in rosemary help protect our skin from damage caused by the sun and free radicals.

It is also a great acne fighter due to its strong anti-inflammatory properties.

Mint, or Pudina, is a great overall skin cleanser. It cures the skin and helps to sooth irritation and infection due to its strong antibacterial properties.

Mint contains a high amount of vitamin A and salicylic acid which makes it great for acne. Vitamin A controls the secretion of oil which dries up and cleanses your pores while salicylic acid helps to shed the outer layer of your skin.

Since mint is a mild astringent, it naturally removes dirt and tones your skin.

Mint improves the circulation of blood to your skin causing the aging process to slow down.
