Hiking & Workouts

Hey lovelies! I hope that your November has gotten off to a great start. I can’t believe that it is already here. During these holiday months, we have to make sure that we exercise as much as we can to keep off all of that extra junk food!

One of my favorite ways to exercise and keep a clear mind is by hiking. Fortunately for me, I live super close to some of the most beautiful hiking trails in CA. This one above is called Los Lionas. It is located in Pacific Palisades, CA and it is just so beautiful. I STILL have not hiked the entire thing because it is so big! Here is a picture at the very top (the highest i’ve ever been) where I was literally above the clouds.

If you are not a gym person and are lucky enough to live in an area where it is still sunny, try to get out and go on a hike. There are so many benefits.

  • Lowers your risk of heart disease
  • Improve your blood pressure and blood sugar levels
  • Boost bone density, since walking is a weight bearing exercise
  • Build strength in your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, and the muscles in your hips and lower legs
  • Strengthen your core
  • Improve balance
  • Help control your weight
  • Boost your mood.
